Charles is Ottawa born and raised. He is perfectly bilingual and takes great pride in serving Ottawa’s anglophone and francophone communities.
Charles completed nine years at the University of Ottawa. He earned business degrees in accounting and marketing. He graduated from the U of O French Common Law program in 2013 and articled in the litigation department of a local firm.
Charles’ goal in becoming a lawyer has always been to give back to the community and help those who need it most. Since his admission to the bar in June 2014, he has found his calling as a personal injury lawyer fighting for injured victims who have lost everything in the blink of an eye.
Charles started working at a prominent personal injury firm in 2014, where he represented hundreds of clients at administrative tribunals and various levels of court in Ontario. In 2021, he partnered with Justin Villeneuve and William Wolfe to create Wolfe, Villeneuve, Genest.
Outside of work, Charles enjoys spending time with his wife and young daughter. He stays active with hiking, biking, cross-country skiing and snowboarding. His love for nature and adventure travel has taken him from the peak of glaciers in New Zealand and Alaska to rugged expeditions through the jungles of Peru and Borneo.
Charles is also an amateur astronomer, regularly exploring the night sky through his scientific-grade telescope. It’s all part of an innate curiosity that he says – perhaps with a touch of irony – helps him stay grounded in his career as a personal injury lawyer.
