William graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and economics and later attended the University of Ottawa Law School graduating in 1988. William was admitted to the Law Society of Upper Canada in 1990. From 1990 to 2000, he worked exclusively for insurance companies representing them at all levels of courts in Ontario. In 2000 William left his insurance practice in order to represent individual plaintiffs suffering serious injuries. William’s decade long experience representing insurers has provided him with a unique perspective allowing him to vigorously advocate on behalf of his clients.
William has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Appeal. He has argued numerous jury and non-jury cases throughout the province. He is a member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, the Advocates Society, the Ontario Bar Association, the Canadian Bar Association, and the American Association for Justice. In 2014 William completed an intensive mediation program at the Center for Dispute Resolution in Washington, D.C.
Outside of work, William enjoys skiing and travelling with his family.
